We are finally home for couple days as there will be no racing this weekend. We had begun to install the new rocker arms last weekend, only to discover that the style was not the same and because of the change the push rods were not the right length. They needed to be .200 shorter. I had just purchased these new in May, so on Monday I contacted the manufacturer who in turn told me they could shorten them and get them back out the door the same day for significantly less cost than buying new ones. So I sent them today, they arrived on Wednesday (Oregon) and should have been returned that same day. They even called to verify the length, said they would be shipped in the afternoon. Thursday’s phone call did not make me a happy camper as they say because I was told they wouldn’t go out until Friday. Some kind of equipment problem. We have them now and hope to install everything this weekend to get ready for the weekend of August 22nd. It has been a trying summer to say the least. We haven’t been able to get a lot of racing in but have been staying busy. Hopefully we can get back in the drivers seat soon. Thanks for reading and travel safe out there.
