Looking for a New Trailer

I was finally home for a couple days as I spent Thursday at a truck auction in Bettendorf, IA as I am trying to purchase a used (new to me) tow vehicle. There were 140 tractors of all shapes, brands, types and sizes but of course the one I was interested in went beyond my bidding limitations. I want to place a box on the back of a tractor cab and install living quarters. They are referred to as a toterhome. I have been looking for sometime but with no luck. We will keep trying. Friday I was able to attend the Divisional five points race at Cordova, IL where approximately 500 race cars were on the grounds. We left around 7 a.m. and returned home around 11:30 p.m, so it was another long day. We watched racing most of the day, looked at all the haulers, trailers, toterhomes, motorhomes and just kind of relaxed. I was very interested in the “Top Dragster” class that was created five years ago supposedly for racers wanting to go quicker. That was one of the reasons I built a new car as the old dragster would only certify up to 7.50. Well, five years later they are going quicker alright. The 32 car field had a bump spot of 7.44 That’s 3 tenths quicker than I have ever gone so lets just say that class is quickly becoming out of reach. It takes a mega amount of horse power/dollars to go 3 tenths quicker.
