Fort Dodge Truck/Tractor Pull

We pulled out of Blairstown around 1:30 pm wanting to have plenty of time to get to Fort Dodge as our appearance was scheduled from 5 until 7 pm. We arrived around 4:30 and were met by Jim Suchan of the Lehigh Telephone Company and shown where to set up. We were setting up on the fair grounds at the truck/tractor pull no less. The setup was relatively easy as we backed up next to the entrance gate, pushed the car out the back, and presto we were set up ready to go. I love it when a plan comes together. We spoke to several people, handed out a few items, and generally had a good time. Now let me just say two hours flew by and we loaded up ready to head home. There was an actual event going on so we decided to grab something to eat, have an adult beverage, and watch the pull. One of the tractor pullers just happen to be a friend of mine from my home town. He had stopped by to check out the car so I returned the favor and got to see him in competition. We pulled out around 8:30 arriving home around 11:45 and lets just say I was hot, tired, and ready for a shower & bed.
