Saturday starts an hour earlier but we will be ready for the call. At 10:14 am we are on the starting line for our first time run. The INS dragster runs a 7.801 @173.21 with a reaction time .016 red. This is a time run only, so the red light makes no difference except you need to adjust your electronics accordingly so it doesn’t happen later. We decided to pass on the gamblers race for today (as there will be so many cars) and get our second time run later. If you enter the gamblers race that counts as your second time run.
Later of course was an under statement as we did not get our second time run until 5:42 pm. Talk about a long afternoon. We learned a valuable lesson, next time we will enter the gamblers race. That way if you lose the first round you can leave, watch the races, have an adult beverage or do any or all of the afore mentioned. This time we had a good reaction time (.014) and ran a 7.828 @171.62. Now it’s time to head back to the motel and get ready for the next day of races.
