What a day for a drive. It’s July and the weather is in the 70’s!!! We headed for northwest Iowa around 2pm (we meaning myself with the trailer and car in tow). We were headed to a “customer appreciation event” located in northwest IA in a community called Nora Springs. Nora Springs is approximately a 2 hour drive from home. We arrived at our destination on time and unloaded with time to spare.
Several customers took advantage of the pleasant evening to grab a bite to eat as several stopped by to visit with me and ask questions about the INS dragster. I had the opportunity to share some information about the car and enjoy a few laughs. It is amazing to meet such a wide variety of personalities. Many who are really in to drag racing, those who love all types of racing, and those that are probably wondering what you do with it!! Our appearance time was 6-8pm, and wow did that time go fast. It was then time to load up and head home.
I’d like to thank Ron Laudner and Ronnie Pitzen from OmniTel for their hospitality and help. It was greatly appreciated. Also, thanks to INS’ Kent Atha for your help and conversation.
